As a newly-hired young historian, you have to produce a research report for your organization on World War II and the Battle of the Atlantic.  The specific objective is to present the causes (factors) that led to the sinking of passenger ship SS City of Benares, and determine who is responsible for this war tragedy. 

 
You must analyze and use relevant historical sources provided to you in the virtual library for this activity.

 

When writing your report, you should consider the following elements: 

• The immediate reasons and underlying factors for the sinking of the ship

• German naval warfare strategy during World War II

• British and Allied technology and level of preparedness in the early stage of the war 

• British and Allied  options (strategies) for evacuees during the early stage of the war

 

You must properly use the specific context, vocabulary, as well as key concepts of the activity;


Your report has to offer a convincing argument written with proper English grammar using a computer software (e.g., MS Word)
